Shop the East Coast Love Collection

In this small collection, I was mainly focused on painting landmarks at first, but then also wanted to shine a little light on smaller and just as beautiful spots, like MacKenzie’s brook. Peggy’s cove love was created with a sense of ecxitement and magic. Something that one would feel travelling there for the first time! I have travelled across Canada, but there is nothing quite like our beautiful and calm East Coast. Boasting with breathtaking scenic views, sandy beaches, lighthouses galore, beautiful and kind people, strong traditional Celtic and Acadian music that’s been kept alive through generations, and of course some of the world best seafood! I could continue on the topic all day

All of those elements and so many more, are what inspires me to keep the brush in my hands and create. I truly hope you enjoy this mini collection and that it brings a sense of calm and maybe some of these places are already special to you and you can connect to them on a deeper level.

I am a huge lighthouse lover, with over 700 of them in Canadas east coast, this lighthouse may be one of the most popular. In this painting I wanted to create a feeling of almost magic in the sky representing the feeling many tourists get when visiting this sacred place.

If you haven’t had the chance to hike the Skyline Trail on the cabot trail in Cape Breton… I highly suggest you add this to your bucket list!

The trail is a beautiful hike and you actually get to walk through a Moose sanctuary too! however, they must have all been sleeping when I was there as I didn’t see any, but many people have! Once you reach the top of the mountain, you almost feel like you’re on top of the world. You can see for miles of the Cabot trail and the ocean. Painting this felt really good and I would love to go back and gather more inspiration from the many other beauty’s Cape Breton has to offer.

As I enter the realm of painting more structures, I really wanted to capture the confederation bridge. The longest bridge in the world over ice covered waters, with a total length of 12.9kms long. It is the main year-round link to the mainland (New Brunswick) from PEI. I will never not be amazed by it!

Before this rock formation stood alone, it used to be a well known Sea arch! But with coastal erosion that is happening constantly here, it now stands alone. In the spring, this area becomes so beautiful with lupins surrounding the shoreline up top and everything turns vibrant green. I often come to this spot to gather inspiration for my paintings, and I knew this spot deserved to be a part of my collection.
