I am a self-taught visual artist residing on the beautiful Prince Edward Island, on the east coast of Canada. My passion for the arts has been a lifelong endeavor. What started as a hobby ten years ago has blossomed into a more serious commitment over the past two years. As a mother of three, I sought something special for myself—a hobby that would help reconnect with my identity and bring me joy. Painting fulfilled that need, accompanied by my enjoyment of playing the fiddle.
During my college years, I took courses that included Colour Theory, Photography, and Art History, which have provided myself with fundamental skills that I still employ in my work today. I would describe my style as Abstract-Realism, noting that it evolves with my emotions on any given day.
In my landscape work, it often begins with a photograph, tracing shapes and the horizon before applying paint with various brushes and palette knives. For my abstract pieces, I create a palette of colors drawn from my inspirations, applying them as needed to my art, utilizing a mix of tools to achieve the desired textures.
This artistic journey has been deeply meaningful for me, and my aspiration is to share joy and love through my paintings with all who appreciate my work.
